The new Vallejo City Council — with the addition of Peter Bregenzer, Charles Palmares and JR Matulac — will meet for the first time on Tuesday. The council will consider adopting a resolution authorizing City Manager Mike Malone to execute a side letter of agreement to the amended 2019 Tentative Agreement between the City of Vallejo and the Vallejo Police Officers' Association for Master Officer Program pay to become pensionable compensation. According to a city staff report, 'the approval of the proposed side letter agreement between the City and VPOA will improve VPD's competitiveness in the labor market and demonstrate stability for employees going forward.
