VALLEJO — Solano County Transit, like other transportation agencies in California, must reach a zero-emission target by 2040. To do that, SolTrans must convert what Pat Carr, the General Services manager for the agency, said will likely be a fleet of 70 to 80 local and commuter buses into zero-emission coaches, likely electric-battery vehicles. She calls the buses the 'cool, sexy' part of the changeover that gets a lot of attention. 'But if you don't have the infrastructure, you are looking at cool, sexy bricks,' Carr said.
